Utilities Conservation Company (UCC) is focused on showing that energy efficiency improvements can be financed through the savings that they generate.
UCC is working with one of the US Department of Energy’s national laboratories to demonstrate that
a)Deployment of rigorous evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) and constant commissioning (CCx) or the automated fault detection and diagnosis (principally of HVAC systems, lighting, and plug loads) can enable the consumer to substantially reduce energy use and
b)That the data collected via EM&V and CCx can serve as the basis for the underwriting of energy efficiency financings.
